I chose Buchanan Painting to paint the exterior of my house including the deck after getting a total of 3 bids. Charles’s knowledge and professionalism was apparent upon first meeting him and it remained consistent throughout the job. His quote was very competitive, especially considering the quality of the paint and labor (multiple coats, sprayed and backrolled). His crew was courteous, quiet, and neat. Every day when they left, everything was picked up and put away. I was a bit unsure of some Of my choices when it came to color or what to paint trim color, etc and Charles was patient and helpful. Communication was easy and he was reliable. I have no regrets going with Buchanan Painting. I would highly recommend them.

Charles and his crew did a popcorn ceiling removal project on my new (to me) home. The price was fair and he was able to get the job done on a tight timeline and in the face of a major ice storm. Lots of care was taken to tape off the whole house to minimize drywall dust. The ceilings came out great!

Charles gave us wonderful advice on choosing the paint – we were having a difficult time determining style of paint & color. He is trustworthy enough that we left our house key with him and had him paint our kitchen cupboards while we were out-of-town. We returned to everything completely cleaned up. He had taken all the cupboard doors off and removed all the drawers to paint. All were reinstalled to perfection. All new bumper pads on cupboard doors and drawers. The paint job is BEAUTIFUL! Charles is reliable – he keeps his appointments and is a very good communicator. The estimate he gave us is exactly what the bill was when he completed the work. It seems to be getting more and more rare to find someone who will show up when they said they would, do what they said they would do, and charge what they said they would charge. Charles Buchanan does all of the above. If he says he is going to meet you at 4 PM and he's five minutes late, he will text you to tell you. If he gives you a timeline for the job, it would take some outside influence, like bad weather on an outside job, to keep him from meeting that timeline. He painted for me while I was out of the country, and he worked 10 and 12 hour days to finish when he said he would. Charles is Insured and gives a written quote. He is professional, courteous and efficient. Most of all, he's a great painter. He has done two jobs for me thus far . Staining the deck was the smaller of the two, and he did such a good job that I asked him for a quote on a larger job. He completely transformed my kitchen by painting all of the cabinets. Honestly, they look brand new. He ordered the doors of the cabinets and painted them, but he sanded and painted the boxes. You can hardly tell that the boxes aren't brand new as well. He also found a way to change the hardware so that the hinges of these old cabinets are no longer on the outside but are hidden on the inside. My old cabinets are now soft close. There were a couple of spots that I wanted Charles to look at on the inside of the cabinets. He came promptly and repainted those spots. When I can save a little money, Charles will be painting the inside of my house as well. You cannot go wrong by hiring him.

We hired Buchanan Painting to stain our front and back decks. Charles indicated he could do the job over a couple weekends since it's a smaller project. After agreeing to his very reasonable price, he had a crew at our house three days later. It looks amazing! They stained the top, underneath and a number of support beams. They were very nice and super easy to work with. We will definitely use Buchanan Painting again.
